SUMMARY:Beaches Sangha Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Beaches Sangha is a welcoming Secular Buddhist group\, inspired by the traditional concept of ‘sangha’ as a spiritual community. We focus on practical insights from the Buddha’s teachings to help navigate life’s challenges. Our meetings explore Buddhist teachings in a modern\, accessible way\, led by our experienced teacher Lenorë Lambert\, an Organisational Psychologist with over 20 years of practice and author of ‘The Buddha for Modern Minds’. \nThis week we’ll be discussing an Insight Dialogue teaching by Gregory Kamer titled The Interpersonal Path to Freedom \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwle_lQ-BFc \n“Insight Dialogue is a relational meditation practice.  It brings together meditative awareness\, the wisdom teachings of the Buddha\, and interpersonal dialogue. \nBy pausing\, relaxing\, opening\, and listening deeply\, we bring mindfulness into conversation itself.  Speaking and listening in this way reveal our habits of clinging\, fear\, and separation\, while also opening the door to compassion\, clarity\, and freedom. Dialogue becomes a path of awakening.” — Gregory Kramer\, Insight Dialogue \nDiscussion Questions \n\nWhat feels different about practicing mindfulness in dialogue\, compared to sitting meditation in silence?\nWhich of the Insight Dialogue guidelines (Pause\, Relax\, Open\, Trust Emergence\, Listen Deeply\, Speak the Truth) speaks most to you\, and why?\nHow might relational meditation change the way we interact in Sangha or in daily life?\nWhat obstacles arise when trying to be fully present in speaking and listening?\nCan dialogue itself be a path to insight? What are the risks and the benefits?\n\nNew members are always welcome\, whether you’re new to meditation or Buddhist teachings — contact Brett Ullman via be***********@***il.com (0438 653 472) for more information or to discuss your first visit. \n\nCost: Minimal annual contribution to cover venue and group expenses\nFirst-time Attendees: Welcome to attend the first meeting free of charge\nWhat to Bring: Meditation cushion or mat (wooden floor)\, chairs provided\nParking: Available in vacant lot opposite Peace Park or along Dreadnought Rd
