The four mental qualities that the Buddha emphasised for our approach to meditation and the dharma (Buddha's teachings).

There is a lot in this paper so you'll need to make sure you've got time and headspace to concentrate on it. (Apt really, given the topic of the paper.) It outlines the four aspects that are important to our approach to both meditation and the path more generally:

1) diligence

2) clear knowing

3) mindfulness

4) not being too caught up by the world
